How it Works!

Why is the Bumper So Important?

Bumpers are designed to protect the front structure and bring style to the vehicle. But, bumpers are often the first part of your vehicle to absorb contact in a collision. We take care in every step of the repair or replacement process to make sure your vehicle is restored to it’s original purpose.

Repairing
We  repair/erase dents, scratches and scrapes. Many plastic bumpers can be repaired but if necessary, we will get you a new bumper. This can either be a substitute part or a dealer part.

Bumpers are made from thermo plastics and are created by melting many small plastic pellets. Thermo plastic is flexible and easy to use and it is also recyclable.

If possible, or desirable to you, we will make the repair by adding filler to reconstruct the bumper shape. Our goal is to fix the bumper in the best, most economical way.

First, we mold a piece which will be the base structure of the bumper. After cool-down, we have the molded re-manufactured bumper.

Replacement
If you prefer we can get a new bumper – either a substitute part or a dealer part.

Additional Components Requiring Extra Time
Lights
Fog lights, turn signals and decorative lights can also be wired into a bumper. These lights must be disconnected before repairing or replacing the bumper.

Trim
A modern bumper usually has several trim pieces that must be carefully removed prior to repair or replacement.

Warning Systems
It is not unusual to find back up sensors, cameras, vehicle sensors, lane changers and warning sensors.

Air Bag Sensors
Some bumpers contain sensors for airbag deployment. For obvious reasons these sensors must be removed very carefully.
